High-mountain black tea originates from the core production area in northeastern Wuyuan, situated along the Huangshan Mountain range in high-altitude tea gardens. Locally grown large-leaf tea plants contribute to its robust flavor profile, offering a layered taste experience with each steeping. Growing at elevations of 600-1200 meters amidst misty conditions, a long growth cycle of these tea trees enrich the leaves with abundant nutrients. The distinct flavor of Wuyuan high-mountain black tea varies across different regions due to local climates, environments, and tea production methods. Utilizing a non-falling leaf production process and a dynamic cascade fermentation method ensures even fermentation, stabilizing quality and yielding a smooth, refined taste.
Wuyuan Zheng Xi Ming Tea was established in 2016, under its brand Li Qiansheng, founded by the Li family of Wuyuan in the 54th year of Kangxi (1715) in Guangzhou. It was a renowned Wuyuan tea brand in the Thirteen Factories area of Guangzhou at that time. Its high mountain black tea series incorporates local Huizhou architecture and regional characteristics, reflecting intangible cultural heritage. Wuyuan was historically part of "Huizhou," the culture of Huizhou merchants and Huizhou architecture has endured to this day. The charm of Huizhou culture takes visitors into a tunnel of time in Wuyuan. The Huizhou-style buildings standing amidst mountains and rivers, with their whitewashed walls, grey tiles, and horse-head walls towering high, each brick and tile exudes the profound essence of Huizhou style. These structures are not just Wuyuan's calling card but also brilliant cultural treasures, allowing us to feel the sediment of time and the inheritance of culture.
